Discovering Psychomotricity

The aim of the European Forum of Psychomotricity Student’s Academy is to promote meetings between European psychomotricity students through activities that allow students and teachers to interact and share knowledge, particularly about the different study programmes, training, schools and professional practices in each country where there is specific training and professional activity in psychomotricity. Most of the colleagues who have taken part in previous editions said how important this experience was for their academic and professional future.

From 3 to 6 April 2025, Portugal is the host country for this event, whose title ‘Discovering Psychomotricity’ aims to draw attention to the diversity and universality of Psychomotricity. This edition of the Student’s Academy, organised by the Portuguese Association of Psychomotricity (APP), will be hosted by the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon, with contributions from the School of Life and Environmental Sciences of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and the School of Health and Human Development of the University of Évora.

In addition to the various activities and conferences planned for this edition, students will have the opportunity to be welcomed by fellow psychomotricians at their place of work (institutions or clinics) and get to know the reality of the populations that receive the benefits of Psychomotricity in Portugal.

Because psychomotricians must also learn to manage their leisure time and cultural stimulation, there will also be the opportunity to visit some cultural facilities in the municipality of Oeiras.

Like the Portuguese sailors of the Age of Discovery, we’re all going to ‘Discover Psychomotricity’ in Portugal, Europe and the World.
